No. Poolside is a progressive web app — members open the link on their phone and tap "Add to home screen" once. After that it looks and feels like a native app, but with no App Store, no Play Store, and no install friction.
Gate-from-phone is a paid add-on — not bundled with the base subscription, because keyfob panels vary wildly between vendors. We've certified the MENGQI-CONTROL HXC-7000 panel end-to-end. For other panels, you submit your model and we evaluate one-by-one — on-site testing required for new ones. Pricing for verified panels: $250 hardware setup + $25/mo. Custom integrations are quoted individually ($500–$2,000 setup typical) before any work starts. We never promise an integration we haven't tested.
You don't need it anymore. Poolside replaces the spreadsheet + Apps Script + Gmail dance with a real backend. Your existing Sheets data can be imported during setup, or just left as a historical archive — your call.
Bring your own. Most clubs use Venmo or PayPal — we generate the right payment buttons for members and let you mark dues paid as money lands. We have Stripe Connect on the roadmap for clubs that want fully automated billing, including failed-card dunning. Talk to us if that's a priority.
Your data lives in our Supabase Postgres database, mirrored nightly to your Google Drive folder as CSVs and PDFs. You own the Drive folder. If you ever cancel, you keep the data.

Members sign in by typing their phone number, getting a 6-digit code via text, and entering it. No passwords. The SMS is sent through Twilio on Poolside's account — you don't need a Twilio account. Pro tier includes 500 SMS/month, Enterprise is unlimited.
